Christmas Card Workshop 2nd November...

Six lovely ladies took part in this Christmas Card workshop, most of them new to crafting which was lovely.  Several of them wanted details of stamps & inks used so here is a brief summary.

Card One:  We coloured the background in tea dye, stormy sky & iced spruce distress inks, blending from the mat towards the centre of the card. We lightly stamped the Indigoblu script stamp with a choice of one of the distress inks above then spritzed the card with Enchanted Gold mica spray.  Next we embossed the card with the holly embossing folder from Crafters Companion which gave it some lovely texture.  We then stamped the Crafty Individuals stamp twice, once for the base image & the second one for just the lady, then we cut out the images.  Once we had coloured the lady, tree & baubles in we mounted the small image onto the base image & used Glossy Accents to enamel the baubles & gems.  Two lovely metal corners were waxed with a choice of Treasure Gold waxes & adhered to the corners.

Card Two:  This simple card used a foliage stamp & sentiment from Stampendous & was painted with mowed lawn & festive berries distress inks.  The berries were then enamelled with Glossy Accents.

Card Three:  We used a strip of cream card to the top and a strip of Graphic 45 Christmas paper at the bottom to form the base of this card.  The join was covered in green ribbon & a bow was added.  The Tim Holtz poinsettia was coloured in mowed lawn, festive berries & tea dye/antique linen distress ink, spritzed with Enchanted Gold then layered onto the card with foam pads.  Lastly a sentiment was added.

I hope this has given you a brief reminder of the products used in this workshop.  Thanks for coming, it was a lovely morning.
