Day 4 of Summerfest 2014

Day 4 of our first ever Summerfest concluded with workshops run by Clare Charvill & Hels Sheridan.  Hels made a 'Book of Art' (photos to follow) & Clare's workshop was a beautiful book in a bag made with the 'Come Away With Me' papers from G45.  Here are a few photos from the last day, more to follow.

Keep posted for more photographs.

Day 3--- one day left!

Well here we are with only one day of the Summer Fest left. Today was another lovely day taught by the very talented Clare Charvill. I popped in at lunchtime to take a few photos:
The project today was one of Clare's beautiful mini albums made with Graphic45 'By the Sea'. I didn't get a photo of the finished book but will post that tomorrow.

These were taken when everyone was having lunch. These students were keen to get on!!!
The following are just a few of Clare's beautiful samples:

We even took the shop:

More photos tomorrow. Sue and I are joining Clare's workshop. Really looking forward to it. Hels Sheridan will also be teaching. Not sure what her project is yet but I'm sure it will be wonderful. I think it is a canvas book but will let you know tomorrow.

And here we see everyone hard at work!

Then there was the lovely Julie Hickey. She was teaching cards in the morning and a home project in the afternoon.

And lastly I promised to show you Darcy's lovely book from yesterday.

The Summer Fest begins!

The first day of our Summer Fest was a great success. Not a very summery day but we were all far too busy to worry about the weather. The first two workshops were run by two very talented ladies: Lin Brown and Darcy. Both projects were beautiful and so very different. Shame they were on the same day because most would have loved to have attended both workshops. I loved making the canvas with Lin and I know Ginny was thrilled with the quirky little book taught by Darcy. This is the first time Darcy has taught but hopefully not the last.
Here is Lin's and my canvases. I need to take a photo of Darcy's book which I will post in the next few days.
Here are some action shots of us all hard at work!

And of course we had to break for lunch which I must say was lovely.

Followed by doughnuts!!!!

Some of Lin's beautiful samples:

And of course Darcy's too:

Three more days to go. Let's hope everyone attending will enjoy themselves as much as we all did today.
