Quick And Easy Christmas Cards

Sunday Morning Sue has a workshop showing you how to make some quick and easy last minute christmas cards and we have two places left so if you would like to join us let us know by telephoning the store on 01206211099.

Here is a quick and easy card from Janet using a 6" square kraft card, star punch or die, two coordinating papers and some matching ribbon.

All you have to do is draw a circle on your card with a pencil the circle needs to be 1" smaller than your card you then need to punch or cut nine or ten stars out of each paper. Glue
down the lighter coloured ones in a circle covering up the pencil mark and then with the coordinating paper pop them down in between the first layer using some foam dots to raise them up a little and now all you have to do is  stamp your greeting in the middle of the circle of stars, make two holes on the inside of the top of your wreath and tie a bow with some matching ribbon and hey presto you have a lovely quick and easy card.

Karen Has Been Busy Too

Here are some of Karens cards she has made with the Heartfelt Creations Holly Flourish and the Hobby Art Christmas Post  stamps using Weathered Wood, Evergreen Bough and Scattered Straw distress inks Ranger.
The two below have been made using the masking off technique with  the same colours of distress inks on white and kraft card from the store. Karen has also used the Judikins duster brushes to apply the inks.

Journal workshop

Just spent a lovely weekend with some lovely ladies! We made and decorated our own journals and each one was an original piece of art.
I think we need a Brusho workshop!!! Watch this space!!!!!
This is Evelyn's lovely book. Such pretty delicate colours.

And this is Tricia's. Love the deep, bold colour scheme. Tricia was so pleased with it she has decided to frame it instead of using it as a journal. I think that is a great idea.

And completely different, Denise decided to go very vintage. Love the way it turned out.

This is my sample book.

And work in progress! Completely different colours.

Previously I have used Dylusions and Cosmic Shimmer misters but today we used Paper Artsy fresco paints. I love the outcome.
Hope to run this workshop again very soon so if you're interested keep an eye on the workshop updates on the website.
